Sunita Kumar

One of the main protagonists of my novels, Sunita Kumar, as drawn by Katerina Danailova (Check out her work here).

Sunita Kumar, 23, is the Third Officer of the Fast Transport Ship Tulyar – which means that she is responsible for the ship’s security. A lot of that time when the ship is docked, that means being the bouncer.

One might say that she doesn’t suffer fools gladly, but she doesn’t really suffer anyone gladly. If she met King Charles, she’d call him “Charlie” and probably comment on his talking to plants.

But behind the whole surly attitude, there’s actually a highly competent professional, who has killed more than once in self-defence.

But if you insult her husband or her baby daughter, she’ll just punch you a few times instead. In the ribs, so you’re conscious during the ordeal.
